Mathematics - Investigations in Number, Data and Space (Pearson-Scott Foresman) This is a K-5 mathematics curriculum originally developed from 1990 through 1998 through an NSF (National Science Foundation) grant to TERC (Technical Education Research Centers). Investigations addresses four major goals:
- Offer students meaningful mathematics problems
- Emphasize depth in mathematical thinking rather than superficial exposure to a series of fragmented topics
- Communicate mathematics content and pedagogy to teachers
- Substantially expand the pool of mathematically literate students

Science - FOSS (Full Option Science System) FOSS is a research-based science curriculum for grades K–8 developed at the Lawrence Hall of Science, University of California at Berkeley. FOSS is also an ongoing research project dedicated to improving the learning and teaching of science.
